Peter Brötzmann
This trio, led by the legendary German saxophonist and clarinetist, is known for and avant-garde sound that nearly resembles electronic sound by virtue of its intensity.

His 1968 album “Machine Gun” was the first major European free jazz album. The album, which has been called “a raid on established musical values,” reflects the intensity, turmoil and power of the political climate that berthed it.
“The Peter Brötzmann, Nasheet Waits and Eric Revis Trio approach free improvisation with reeds, drums/cymbals and bass in an unidentifiable identity with the intruments in hand. The trio explores areas of improvisation that would include percussive and avan-garde electronic -like sound elements joined together with each individual’s conquest of their own stylistic approach.”
